Galata fish mekan

It's the best fish wrap place. Unaffiliated locals recommended it to us and we noticed it had far more seasoning than the other places. The down side is it costs more (300tl vs ~180tl at the nearby competition). But it's worth it for us.
There are so many fish kebab places in this particular street, but this place is worth trying. Its fish kebab has its own unique sauce. But mussels were so so. It is a place for a quick bite and does not have many seats. Paid 460 liras for a kebab, mussels (five) and a beverage.
We stumbled across this little fish wrap spot by accident, and wow… what a find. The fish wraps were incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. Watching them prepare everything right in front of us made the experience even better. Simple food done perfectly. Definitely one of those places you remember long after the meal is over. Highly recommend if you love fresh seafood and authentic local vibes! What made this experience even better was the amazing hospitality from the restaurant next door, Nox Karakov. Galata fish market doesn't serve beer, and Nox Karakov kindly told us we could bring the wraps over and enjoy them there while ordering drinks from their menu. We grabbed a couple of large draft beer and some crispy french fries, paired them with the fresh fish wraps, and honestly it turned into the perfect meal. Super friendly atmosphere and such a relaxed, welcoming attitude.
I recommend this place. I’ll be glad to visit it again when get beck in Istanbul next time. Wrap is interesting and tasty. Not perfect, but really good. I like it. Ayiran if best option for spring with this wrap. Guys cook very fast. Service is quick and functional.i like it. This cafe is oriented to quick service. But it’s good for such type of cafe. My special topic - toilet. WC exists in this cafe and can be used. There is water. That’s best part of it. It’s isn’t clean, isn’t good smelling, flush works very weak, overall looks not good. Bit still it’s glad to see that it’s here, you can wash your hands and satisfy your urgent needs. For such type of street fast food, I think it’s ok and I’m happy that it’s exist it’s here
The best place for fish wraps!! A small little restaurant that is much less touristy and so much more delicious than the other places along the same street. We were told about this place by our tour guide and have no regrets coming here. The wraps were light and full of flavour. Absolutely delicious. UPDATE - 9 Jan 2026 Returned to Istanbul and tried the wraps and sandwiches again. As good as ever 👍🏻
