On a sunny day walking around Galata, we got hungry and stopped at Barnathan for lunch. Very cozy spot, sweet interior decor, great view of the Galata Tower. The service was good, our waiter was attentive and polite. We ordered the Grilled Calamari and the Grilled Köfte - both very delicious. A refreshing lemonade to accompany lunch. Recommended!
This was my 2nd visit for dinner after visiting in 2025. It was as good as I remembered. The food was excellent, especially the lentil soup. Service is very attentive. Great atmosphere with a live pionaist and excellent views of Galata Tower
We ordered Louisiana Chicken, Grilled Turkey with Seasonal Vegetables, Shrimp Fusilli, and two drinks. The shrimp fusilli was creamy and very delicious definitely my favorite dish. The seasonal vegetables were also very tasty. The turkey was a bit overcooked, and the basmati rice with the Louisiana chicken was quite dry and lacked flavor. The soufflé dessert was excellent crunchy on the outside and moist inside. The restaurant has two seating areas: a garden on the ground floor and a rooftop. We sat in the garden where there was live saxophone and guitar music, which created a really nice atmosphere. Overall, it’s a good place with a pleasant vibe and fair prices.
I can't believe how many people smoke in Istanbul! Rather than paying to climb the Galata Tower we had lunch on the Rooftop of the Barnathan hotel which gave us a commanding view of the Tower, The Golden Horn and the Bosphorus, it would have been better if the sun was shining but you can't have everything. A comprehensive menu, not overally expensive given the views and the food was ok, not great, but ok. If returning I might just take tea or an early evening drink here when the sun goes down would be amazing. As ever courteous staff, clean toilets, but the smoke, even in the open it's annoying!
Enjoying a fantastic vacation in Istanbul, by chance, we stumbled across this hidden gem! It’s a boutique hotel, that has a lovely rooftop terrace! We enjoyed coffee with their famous baklava cake and the infamous San Sebastián Cake. All I can say is WOW!! All delicious!! The view is sensational, full panaromic!! And the service was wonderful!! Our host Dalma was so sweet, ensuring she seated my Mother and I, in the best seats, to enjoy the best experience!! Highly recommend you come experience this place for yourself!! Amazing!!✨
