Absolutely incredible 7-course experience! Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavour. Loved that you can choose between a fish or meat menu. Amazing service, beautiful atmosphere, and truly unforgettable food. 10/10!
Yeni Lokanta is an unforgettable dining experience in Istanbul. Located near Taksim Square, just off the main Istiklal Street area, this Michelin-rated restaurant completely exceeded my expectations. I visited with my family and tried the nine-course tasting menu. From the very first bite, every dish delivered a burst of flavors unlike anything I had experienced before. I have been to several Michelin restaurants in New York, and I can honestly say that the flavors at Yeni Lokanta surpassed many of them. Each course was creative, refined, and beautifully balanced. The presentation of the dishes was also outstanding. From the appetizers to the main courses to the desserts, everything was elegant, artistic, and beyond five stars. The restaurant itself is cozy, quiet, and sophisticated, making it perfect for an intimate dinner where you can truly enjoy a conversation and hear each other. The wine selection was excellent as well. They have an impressive cellar, and the wines were tasteful and paired beautifully with the meal. I highly recommend Yeni Lokanta to anyone looking for a Michelin-rated restaurant near Taksim Square. It is very close to being a Michelin-starred experience, and in my opinion, it should be on every food lover’s bucket list when visiting Istanbul.
4.5 stars easily!! We had such an amazing dinner here for our friends 30th birthday. The food was better than expected. Especially the short rib and the goat cheese plate. Everyone was SO kind and helpful, couldn’t have been better service!
What a great Lunch experience. Fine dine restaurant service and food with a local feel. The plates where all perfectly cooked, seasoned, and beautiful presentation. The quality of the vegetables, fruits, and protein all fresh. So far has been my favorite dining experience in istanbul. Highly recommened!!! And I have eaten at many places
High class cooking in a rustic style. Upon entering Yeni Lokanta the atmosphere was very laid back and welcoming. Decor is beautiful and staff are professional. We opted for the 9 course tasting menu with wine pairing. Almost every dish was surprising and all were delicious! Every Turkish wine in the pairing was top tier and really showcased how good Turkish wine can be. Servers were very knowledgeable and attentive. As others have mentioned it’s certainly not cheap considering it doesn’t have a star, however we still had an excellent experience. Personal favourite’s were the manti, sardines, beef short rib and the baklava. Could hardly finish the end courses due to being so full.
