I’ve travelled to nearly 30 countries around the world, and I can honestly say that U2 Irish Pub in Istanbul is one of the most special pubs I’ve ever stepped into. There’s something almost sacred about the atmosphere here. The passion, the stories, the music, the laughter, and the sense of community make it feel like so much more than just a pub. Walking through the doors feels like being welcomed into a family. As someone who has spent years travelling the world, I’ve visited countless “Irish pubs” in different countries, but most are just themed bars. U2 is different. This place has soul. It has heart. It feels authentic in a way that’s difficult to put into words. For a few hours, you genuinely feel like you’ve been transported straight to Ireland. I’ve never felt more connected to Irish culture, and I’ve never felt more like a true Irishman than sitting in this pub, sharing a drink, listening to the music, and soaking up the incredible atmosphere. A massive credit goes to Leo, who helps create that feeling from the moment you arrive. His hospitality is second to none and he’s one of the main reasons people keep coming back. If you’re in Istanbul and want an authentic Irish pub experience, don’t waste your time anywhere else. U2 Irish Pub isn’t just the best Irish pub in Istanbul—it’s one of the best pubs I’ve visited anywhere in the world.
I’ve visited Istanbul multiple times over the years, and no matter how much the city changes, one thing stays the same – I always find myself back at U2 Irish Pub. Unlike many places that call themselves Irish bars, U2 is the real deal. It has the atmosphere, the character, the music, and most importantly, the people that make a true Irish pub feel special. From the moment you walk in, you’re treated like a local rather than a tourist. A huge part of that is Leo. He has a way of making everyone feel welcome and at home, whether it’s your first visit or your tenth. That genuine hospitality is hard to find and is exactly why I keep coming back every time I’m in Istanbul. If you’re looking for the most authentic Irish pub experience in Istanbul, I honestly couldn’t recommend U2 enough. Great drinks, great atmosphere, great people, and a place that feels like a home away from home. It’s become a tradition for me to visit whenever I’m in the city, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Absolutely amazing atmosphere! 🍀 Watching the Champions League here feels like being in Ireland itself. Super welcoming staff, incredibly fresh and delicious beer, great energy, and such an authentic Irish vibe. The atmosphere is just WOW — warm, lively, and perfect for football lovers. Definitely one of the best places to watch a match in Istanbul. Highly recommended!
Authentic Irish Guinness beer! I wasn’t really into beer and just want to try an authentic Irish beer because I haven’t tried it when I was in Ireland last 2024. Have decided to try it after passing by on it a day before when I went here. It was nice. Taste is different from any other beers. Really authentic! No snacks or any appetizers to eat though, it’s just a pure Irish bar, with beers, small wines only, vodka and sodas. No cocktails too. Limited seats available too. But overall nice!
