Service was top but the food wasn’t even 10% of what I had in Nobu Tokyo. The ingredients are not as fresh, menu completely different, and overall too salty and is not as simple but harmonious and innovative in taste as dishes in Tokyo. Atmosphere and the service were excellent. Background music in outdoor dining area were clashing with other venues’ music as it’s open space. Would recommend reserving space inside if you want a peaceful environment. Overall, would not recommend if you’re craving for top quality food. It won’t meet your standards. But go ahead if the main reason is to have a good time in cool place.
Good atmosphere and views to Bosphorus. Medium food. In two days I coming again and Changing my mind, June 8 I booked the table, for great evening with my family and I very asked a table near the window. When I arrived, a couple came in front of us and they were put where they wanted without waiting in line or recording. But, even by appointment, I was refused a table by the window, although it was empty, and I asked for it very much. It was done rather rudely and was unpleasant, our opinion of the restaurant changed for the worse. We went to another restaurant.
We had a great time here at the Nobu. Not knowing there was a dress code, the staff checked if it was okay for my partner to come in. After a small wait, they agreed it would be okay. Which we were grateful for. Despite dress codes are quite out dated, especially at somewhere modern and contemporary like the nobu. We picked the Nobu Classic 5 course tasting menu. And it did not disappoint. Fantastic collection of different dishes. Selection of hot and cold. Really loved the salty cod eggs with the warm rice. A really interesting combination. We were blown away by the Fantastic flavours and light texture of the tempura rock shrimp. The wrapped cod with Yuzu almost felt Polynesian- delightful, elegant, sweet. We also very much enjoyed the beef tapenyaki. There were many varieties of mushroom, which was really interesting in texture and flavour. Also the desert, can I add, we have not stopped talking about this desert for DAYS. Hot and cold. Creamy and refreshing. Just perfection. The service was good. I'd have loved to have been told more about the dishes, and the elements of each dish. But the waiters were knowledgeable and spoke Fantastic English. Very grateful for this, thank you. The atmosphere for me was amazing, I love the moodiness, big rocks on entry; reminiscent of a Japanese zen garden. I really loved the big bar also in the middle of the first room, it is nice to see all the available spirits and I e joy the social aspect of people at the bar being made cocktails. I loved the in house DJ mixing house music in the background, setting the tone. My partner not into this as much, as he couldn't hear me talk 🤣 Very trendy spot. Delicious food and stunning views of the river.
The service at Nobu Istanbul was very attentive and the best part of our visit. Food was good but the Umami chicken was very dry and the crispy rice much crisper than in other Nobu or Matsuhisa Restaurants. Since we were there on a Monday the Restaurant was very empty which was a bit sad but I think towards the weekend it is very busy since it is a very nice location overall.
I chose the Istanbul Omakase, and it was an extraordinary culinary journey from start to finish. The food was simply outstanding. Every dish showcased the freshness and premium quality of the ingredients, prepared with remarkable precision and creativity. The flavours were perfectly balanced, refined, and beautifully presented. Without a doubt, Nobu Istanbul offers a world-class dining experience. I highly recommend Nobu Istanbul to anyone looking for an exceptional and unforgettable dining experience in Istanbul.
