Epic first introduction to Turkish food! We were so grateful to dine here with the attentive and caring staff who provided recommendations and exceptional service :) We tried the Adana, Haydari, and Raki - all delicious and so flavorful! Bonus that the restaurant is beautiful with great ambiance.
Kapı Karaköy is, without a doubt, one of the best restaurants I've eaten at in Türkiye. While it's definitely on the expensive side, every bite made me feel like it was worth the price. The kebab was simply outstanding. In my opinion, it's easily among the top three best kebabs I've had in all of Türkiye, and honestly, it might even be number one. The meat was incredibly juicy, perfectly seasoned, and packed with flavour. It's the kind of meal that truly represents why Turkish cuisine is so highly regarded around the world. If someone asked me where to experience an authentic, high-quality Turkish kebab, this would be one of my first recommendations. The restaurant itself is located in a beautiful part of Karaköy and has a stunning interior with a warm, elegant aesthetic. The atmosphere makes the experience feel even more special, whether you're visiting for a casual meal or celebrating something special. I visited with my brother, and we both had an amazing time. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel comfortable throughout our visit. The excellent service only added to what was already an incredible dining experience. Kapı Karaköy is an unforgettable restaurant that exceeded every expectation I had. Between the exceptional Adana kebabs, beautiful ambience, outstanding service, and fantastic location, it's a place I would recommend without hesitation. If you're willing to spend a little more for an unforgettable meal, this is absolutely one of the best restaurants you can visit in Türkiye.
Amazing food, the chef is a phenomenal cook. We ordered the chicken (Yavuk şiş) and beef (şaşlik) shish and we tried Sigara Böregi (spring rolls deep fried with cheese). Reasonable prices. Roughly $30 CDN per person with water and cola to drink. Portion sizes were more than we could eat. The atmosphere was very welcoming even though the staff didn’t all speak English they did their best to communicate and be helpful. Recommend. A must try kabob place here in Istanbul.
Nice atmosphere, good food! The plates come with side dishes, even though its not listet (breed, parsley, peppers, marinated onion) One dish is for one person. Can recommend!
An absolutely fantastic experience! The atmosphere is cool and inviting, and I really loved the decor, it creates a great dining vibe. The service was welcoming and quick. The food quality was clearly high; everything we ordered was delicious, especially the kebabs and the excellent baba ghanoush. However, the real standout was their bread; the naan was genuinely one of the best I have ever had, making the meal truly memorable. This place delivers delicious food, cool surroundings, and great service. Definitely recommended 👌🏼.
