I highly recommend Yelkenci Karaköy to anyone visiting Istanbul. The food, the service, and the view are simply the best in the area. Every dish was absolutely delicious—without a doubt some of the best food I have had in Istanbul. The service was exceptional from beginning to end. The owner is a genuinely kind, attentive, and welcoming person who truly cares about his guests and makes everyone feel special. If you are looking for an amazing atmosphere, outstanding food, beautiful views, and first-class service, this is the place to visit. This Turkish café was an amazing experience. The view is absolutely stunning and creates a perfect atmosphere to relax and enjoy the moment. The staff went above and beyond — they even surprised us with complimentary dessert and appetizers, which was a very приятный жест. The service overall was outstanding: friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Definitely a place I would love to visit again.
Great views! The food was very good, especially the octopus is fantastic! Grilled seabass also very tasty. We went here for new Year's eve dinner, so I can't really comment on the prices as we were only given the option of a special set menu for the night (€80 person including wine). But we were pleased the views and the quality of the food.
This is the best meal we ever had in our 4 days stay in Istanbul. The food, the view and combined with the service made it perfect. The food is so fresh, the shrimp and Octopus are cooked just right, everything we had are all great! We will definitely come back here when we visit Istanbul again. The money spent is so worth it! Marco is very attentive to our needs and even explained some dishes to us. We came for a late lunch and ended watching the sunset while having tea 💕
Great rooftop view of the Galata bridge and Asia Turkey. Ordered 2 grilled fish, sea beam and sea bass and fish was really fresh and well cooked. Octopus not value for money but taste good. Most dishes were good.
