Update: 23-6-2026 I decided to go back and try it again. I confirmed the prices before entering the restaurant; it was cheaper than the neighboring restaurants. I ordered salmon, which was wonderful, and the salad was very delicious and fresh. The price was reasonable. I recommend it
TOURIST SCAMMERS I have been a guest at this restaurant multiple times, coming here every year with my family. Unfortunately, I was disappointed by yesterday's experience. The head waiter/maître d' greeted us, seated us, and we ordered soup, salad, shrimp, and 1 portion of wild sea bream (at the waiter's insistence and recommendation; the price was listed per kilogram). Wild sea bream is one of the more expensive dishes on the menu, but I wanted to try it. We waited a long time for that part of the order, and then the waiters brought us two portions with a total weight of 1.3kg! I had expected it to be a fish of 500-600 grams, and given that it's a premium fish, I was OK with it being weighed per kilogram, but the waiter did not point out that it comes as a whole fish and that its size was over 1kg. Since we were already quite full from other dishes, this was definitely too much for two guests. However, after the order was served, I asked for details and clarification, and the waiter yelled at me, and after I tried to calm the situation down, he gossiped about me and mocked me in front of his colleagues. My Turkish is fairly basic, but I understood enough, and I don't want to tolerate unprofessionalism. The taste was OK, and the price is normally not a problem for me because I'm willing to pay for good food, but I have the feeling that we were treated differently because my wife and I are/look like tourists, and that the waiter deliberately stuck us with this fish without being fully transparent. I'm sorry about this, because I used to love going to this restaurant, but I think my family and I will no longer be guests.
The best and the oldest fish restaurant in Üsküdar,always fresh products and tasty food,reasonable prices and good service,as a local who has been living in Üsküdar over 30 years,this is my only choice to eat fish(also you can buy raw fish to cook at home).
