Landed in Turkey today and wanted an easy place to go to near the airbnb. There was no wait - but we did go at 9 pm. We ordered a few different items that were all delicious but more than that was the host Alex! He was so fun to talk to and made sure we had the most enjoyable time, checking in on us periodically. It made for a good first night in a new city :)
We happened to walk by this spot and talked with the owner. He was awesome, very friendly and funny. The place had a great atmosphere and the food was incredible. We got 2 different appetizers, a meal and dessert and they all did not disappoint!! Highly recommend this spot!
Followed reviews to end up here & glad I did. Really delicious food, lovely welcoming staff and even free welcome appetizer and tea/baklawa/watermelon post meal. Usman was a great host! Great place 10/10
The chef’s recommendation was very good. Had their chicken casserole. It tasted as good as it looked. Staff were friendly.
I had a great experience at Sokak Karaköy Restaurant & Bar. I ordered the lamb shish kebab, which was delicious, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour. I also enjoyed a few beers, smoked shisha, and watched the football, making for a really relaxed and enjoyable evening. The atmosphere was lively without being overwhelming, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout. If you're in Karaköy and looking for a place to eat, have a drink, enjoy shisha, and catch a game, I'd definitely recommend giving this place a visit.
