We stumbled upon this restaurant after noticing the huge queue outside, so we figured it had to be worth trying - and it absolutely lived up to the hype! The beef kebab was incredibly juicy, flavourful, and cooked to perfection. The bread was just as impressive - freshly made, paper-thin, and the perfect accompaniment to the meal. A special shoutout to Berkay for his exceptional hospitality. He made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived and gave us fantastic recommendations that made our dining experience even better. Without a doubt, we'll be back the next time we're in Istanbul. Highly recommended!
Metet Döner is famous not only because of its strategic location, but also because the food is genuinely good. The döner is juicy, flavourful, and perfectly cooked. Every bite is satisfying, and before you know it, you've finished your plate. Honestly, one plate is never enough for me! Being in a popular location means it can get quite busy, but the queue moves fairly quickly, and the food is worth the wait. If you're around the area and craving a good döner, Metet Döner is definitely a place I'd recommend. Just don't be surprised if you end up ordering a second plate! 🌯🇹🇷😋
Best Doner in Istanbul Perfect All around experience - Bread was freshly baked, perfectly soft. Sides were fresh with rice cooked to perfect consistency, fresh crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside chips and a simple salad to perfectly complement the doner. Döner was seasoned perfectly with the quality of the meat reflecting in the delicious flavour. Not only this, but a generous portion is served not leaving you hungry as some other places do.
I’ve been coming to Metet for over 8 years, and I’ll definitely go back. We’ve tried almost every item on the menu, and everything has been delicious. However, the Iskender kebab is absolutely outstanding. Everyone I’ve recommended Metet to has been really enjoyed it. The restaurant is usually crowded, but the service is fast and efficient, so you don’t usually have to wait long.
Went there in our last day of spring trip to Istanbul. Food is just perfect. We ordered a soup of the day (lentil soup), fried Kibbeh (delicious), Iskender kebab ( main course), and it comes with a buffalo yoghurt and home made french fries, marinated peppers and seasoned onion (sides). Everything is made so delicious and close to perfection. Definitely recommend this place. Atmosphere is just 4 stars because of smell of cigarette smoke and a bit of humidity.
