Best meal we had in Istanbul!!! Nothing beats a home cooked meal at a hidden gem prepared with love and years of perfecting recipes. Located on a busy street, you walk up the stairs where you are given a choice of what’s on the menu. The selection is precooked but don’t let that deceive you because the flavors delivered and more! We tried the zucchini fritters, stuffed grape leaf, stuffed eggplant, and manti (Turkish dumplings) and we were absolutely blown away. The manti were the best we ever had and it was also our first time trying it so the bar was set high. The rest of the dishes were actually seasoned so well and balanced compared to some of the places we had in Istanbul. We are so grateful for the owners and their family’s hospitality. Thank you for introducing us to what authentic Turkish cuisine has to offer.
We discovered this hidden gem on the first floor barely visible from the street, but absolutely worth the visit! The mantı was outstanding: tender handmade dumplings in a rich, garlicky tomato sauce with yogurt pepper and mint. We also loved the flavorful etli sarma, delicious stuffed artichokes, and the fresh red beet salad. Everything tasted authentic and homemade. Highly recommended!

Best meal in Istanbul by far. Authentic homemade Turkish cuisine, highly recommend! A nice change from the constant kebabs. The cook walks you through each item, showing it to you, so you know exactly what you are ordering! Finding the restaurant is a little difficult, but it is the second floor door of a small blue building.
The restaurant is located on the first floor, just upstairs of a small entrance! The delicious food was one of my most memorable food I had in Istanbul! Everything felt homemade: the food, the ambience and the hospitality we got. I can recommend it to everyone to have a taste of fresh homemefe turkish food. I will definitely come back the next time I‘m in Istanbul
