Visiting from the US, the price of this felt like a great value for the overall experience, especially compared to 1 star restaurants in our area (with the caveat this is my first 2 star restaurant). I didn’t love every single dish but the service and intentionality were exceptional. The restaurant is absolutely stunning in design. Sitting at the chef’s table, we got to witness the quality checks in real time—it’s obvious the standards are high. Every staff member was overly attentive. My only real complaints are: it was way too much food, with the portions being too big. I was stuffed before mains arrived and by the kitchen tour I was uncomfortably overfull; just wanted to go home and give birth to my food baby. The chef’s table got pretty hot temperature-wise, being near the stoves. They checked my linen blouse at arrival and forgot to return it (I forgot about it as well!). The non-alcoholic drink pairing is a solid “meh”, with some of the drinks tasting like perfume. If I did it again I’d order a few non-alcoholic cocktails instead. My husband got the wine pairing and enjoyed it. Overall, we were very happy we ended our trip with this meal!

After being greeted friendly, I was guided into the courtyard, which was a very atmospheric and lively place. The Amuse bouche were severed here. We started with a broth topped with chives and chicken skin. Served in a lovely cup, it was a rich and flavourful opening to the meal. The mussel dish was visually very impressive, although the flavour felt slightly one-dimensional. In contrast, the foie gras lollipop with sweet elements was a great combination and worked beautifully together. The pickle juice course came with a funky presentation, but apart from its acidity it was not particularly interesting. After this dish, we went into the main dining room with its open kitchen. It was nothing short of the previous, amazing impression. The atmosphere is curated brilliantly at TURK. We started of with an egg yolk with morels, asparagus, and a spinach yoghurt sauce. It was outstanding — incredibly full-bodied and an absolutely brilliant experience. The pairing alongside it felt slightly off and a bit too sweet. The bread course was excellent, especially because of the nice variety it offered (honey, butter, dried meat) A “seafood tour around Turkey” followed, which was a lovely concept. Highlights included mackerel with wasabi tahini and a prawn with tomato powder. The Turkish terroir salad, which was next, was phenomenal as well: packed with many different ingredients, yet still harmonious, and tasting even fresher than it looked. Next up was sea bass. The fish itself was amazing and paired with a strong sauce. The baked oyster, on the other hand, did not deliver much oyster flavour, leaving only a light aftertaste — perhaps intentionally so. The lamb course was excellent, presented in four different variations, all deeply rich in flavour. Still, the bulgur and the sauce managed to steal the show. The manti was a dream in yoghurt: spice, fat, umami, and light acidity all coming together in a single bite. Dessert came with a nice, molecular presentation, although the baklava itself tasted rather basic. For the petit four I also received a tour through the kitchen. I really liked both elements individually, but they did not work that great together. I felt slightly rushed with my sweet treats. At the end we were guided to the courtyard once again and some fresh fruits were served. All in all it was an outstanding experience. Little things could be improved, on my opinion because you can clearly sense an even higher aspiration than two-stars - yet, to get there further refinement seems the way, not adding more on top of an already amazing experience. Hope to return at one point :).

Dining at TÜRK Restaurant by Fatih Tutak is not simply a meal, it is a carefully composed journey. Rooted in traditional Turkish cuisine yet interpreted through a modern, global lens, each course feels like a thoughtful stop along a refined culinary narrative. The flavors are layered, precise, and quietly confident. From the moment you arrive, the experience unfolds seamlessly. The way guests are welcomed, the architectural elegance of the space, the refined plating, the originality of each dish, and even the music in the background all work in harmony. This is not just about food. It is an immersive experience where memory, culture, and craftsmanship meet at the table.

Google should have a special 6-star evaluation for restaurants like Turk Fatih Tutak. I have no words to describe how extraordinary my experience was, since the reservation process until I was dropped off at my hotel. The food, the service, the atmosphere, the drinks, the people working there, every single detail was perfect. It’s not just an amazing restaurant with great food and service, it’s a real experience. They take you through the Turkish culinary while you transition into different places at the restaurant, starting with small bites (I’ll never forget the foie gras) in the bar/lobby, going through the well decorated salon, until a tour in the kitchen. I’ve had the chance to visit many of the best restaurants across the board, but this is one, if not THE best I’ve ever been at. Congrats to the Chef and his entire team, you are great!

Turk Fatih Tutak is a very special place. After a very easy online booking process I received an email a few days before our visit to say that the restaurant will pick us up. We were picked up by our delightful driver (really sorry we forgot her name!!) on a Togg electric car and taken to the restaurant. From the moment we got to TT we were looked after like royalty. The restaurant staff genuinely care about the experience you have there and it makes all the difference. You except a 2 Michelin star restaurant to have amazing food and it certainly didn’t disappoint. But what I loved most about the menu was how the chef took us on a wondrous journey through all of turkey. It was absolutely sublime with exceptional cooking aided by the most attentive and hospitable staff. We were celebrating a birthday and the staff gave us a signed card from everyone at TT as well as a cake as part of the multiple courses of dessert. Small touches make huge differences and this place was all about the small touch. TT is all about slow eating and our meal lasted over three hours. Though you will be surprised by how quickly it goes. The kitchen tour was an added bonus and was the icing on the cake. We loved the goody bag too. Thank you to the whole team for giving us one of the highlights during our first trip to Istanbul. However, it will not be our last and we will certainly be back here!
