We have been coming to Astral Balık every year, and it remains our favorite restaurant in Taksim. During our stay, we visit almost every day because the food is consistently outstanding. Fresh seafood, delicious traditional dishes, excellent service, and a warm atmosphere make every visit special. The quality never changes, and the staff always make us feel welcome. In our opinion, this is the best restaurant and the best cuisine in Taksim. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Very fresh fish and friendly staff that’s not pushy. I enjoyed the meal very much and wish that there were more people to share more food.
Tucked along the wonderful avenue leading down from Taksim Square, Astral Balık Fish House has become one of my absolute traditions whenever I return to Istanbul. This is the sort of restaurant that captures everything one hopes for in Turkish dining, warm hospitality, excellent food, generous spirit, and an atmosphere full of life without ever feeling overwhelming. The selection of fresh seafood is consistently excellent, beautifully prepared and full of flavour, while the meat dishes are equally impressive and cooked with great care. Whether for a long relaxed lunch or an elegant evening meal, the standard remains consistently high. What continues to distinguish Astral Balık, however, is the service. The team are attentive, welcoming, and effortlessly professional, making guests feel genuinely looked after rather than simply served. There is a warmth here that feels authentically Istanbul. To finish the meal with a traditional Turkish tea is always a lovely touch and somehow completes the entire experience perfectly. A superb restaurant, full of charm and quality, and without question one of my favourite dining experiences in Istanbul. Highly recommended.
We had a wonderful dining experience at Astral Seafood Restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. The service was amazing, with attentive and friendly staff who made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. We also loved the atmosphere of the restaurant; such a lovely setting to relax, enjoy great seafood, and soak in the Istanbul vibe. Definitely a place we would happily return to!
Roped into the restaurant by a very enthusiastic yet polite man. Couldn’t say no. Weren’t disappointed. Food is delicious. I wanted Iskender Kebab, which they don’t even have on the menu, but they were more than happy to accommodate me. Wife’s Adana Kebab and my dish were very generous and delicious. Service very understated and efficient. Breads, rice and chips with more or less every dish. And post-dinner Chai and Baklava on the house. Bill will be a tad steep I reckon, but…I reckon it’s worth it.
