We had a wonderful experience in here!. A special thank you to Yağız who looked after our table and spoke English, which was especially helpful since we had a foreign guest with us. He explained everything clearly and professionally, including the wine selections, the food, and all the details of each dish. He was also very attentive regarding allergies and made sure to exclude any ingredients that could cause problems. His warm attitude and genuine interest made us feel very welcome. The food was absolutely amazing, and thanks to his excellent service, the whole evening was even more enjoyable. We highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to visiting again.
Absolutely speechless. It's beautiful, sophisticated and delicious! To the point we went back to this restaurant again during our stay in Istanbul. Nothing like this place can offer you such a special Turkish dinner. It's not a simple westernized Turkish food. Just so tasty but full of surprises by the combination of ingredients.
Set in a beautiful characterful space in the Pera Beyoglu district. The interior is all old brick and stone, beautifully though dimly lit in the evening. The atmosphere is relaxed and the wait staff excellent, friendly and attentive. Perfect English is spoken, but from what we saw, so was German and at least Italian - probably many more. The food we ordered was excellent. The ceviche was fresh and bright, the roast beetroot al denté and delicious but the star was definitely the celeriac, roasted to soft perfection and doused in a rich, deeply flavoured roast vegetable jus that was just brilliant. As a main we chose the confit chicken, served on a bed of delightful long grain rice studded with nuts and fruit. Cocktails replaced our usual wine due to the extraordinary prices in Türkiye due to mammoth taxes. Crazy. Total was TL9000 - about €170 which we thought pretty good value. If you’re looking for something classy without being ridiculous, this fits the bill.
My FAVOURITE restaurant in Istanbul! I’ve been twice now. They have a superb tasting menu (with vegetarian menu as an option) and delicious wine pairings. The team is superb, the food - fantastic, and the atmosphere is warm, elegant and romantic. Great for groups, dates or even solo travellers like me. Modern Turkish gastronomy with thoughtfully-paired local wines. This place is always delightfully delicious.
Aheste was the best dining experience of a two week trip through Greece and Türkiye. This well styled restaurant offers up a modern twist to Turkish cuisine and pairs it with great wines or cocktails. The design is simple and pleasing with a nice dark atmosphere and welcoming and helpful staff. The moment we walked in, they took care of us. Dishes and wines were recommended and taken. A wonderful tuna appetizer was the star of the show and the Zucchini Flowers were excellent. The Roast Lamb Shoulder was outstanding. They also have some small Turkish wines that make the meal. Looking for a special place to celebrate or just for an elevated dining experience, this is your place.
