I was disappointed with both the food and the billing. I ordered the 250 g chicken skewers (₺1,200). It was served with a pepper, just over a dozen fries, and only eight small pieces of chicken. The biggest issue was that the chicken was very dry. For a dish advertised as 250 g (over half a pound before cooking or 2 avg breasts), I expected a much better-quality meal. We were also part of a group of eight and told the waiter twice that we would all be paying separately. At the end, he said he couldn't split the checks because our table had ordered two calamari appetizers, creating unnecessary confusion. That and lots of handwritten bills. Finally, my bill didn't add up. Two chicken skewers (₺2,400), one bottle of water (₺120), and one Coke (₺260) should have totaled ₺2,780, but I was charged ₺2,900. I was busy questioning what the water charge was for as he was throwing a menu in front of me to even notice he overcharged on the chicken skewers. Overall, the food was overpriced, the chicken was dry, and the billing process left me questioning the accuracy of the charges. I won't be returning.
We had an unforgettable time! Everything was perfect: a cosy atmosphere, a stunning view of the Bosphorus and a magnificent sunset! The dishes amazed us with their exquisite flavours: prawns, octopus, sea bass – a huge thank you to the head chef and the whole team of professionals for the exquisite flavours and magnificent presentation!
Excellent seafood restaurant! The fish was incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were attentive and friendly throughout our visit. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. A wonderful dining experience that exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended for anyone who loves seafood!
Best seafood meal in Istanbul! (You can get kebaps and grilled meats in many places, but great fish is hard to find.) The starter - fish Adana kebap in Anatolian spices - was a delicate delight. The bream was perfectly cooked, filleted for the two of us, served simply with roast tomato, potato and chili peppers. Sides of exotic greens I could not identify added acidic balance and a (complementary) beetroot salad with chunks of orange provided sweetness. We had a Turkish Sav Blanc (sorry, forgot to note the name), which worked really well. The halvah ice-cream had run out so we got a semolina desert with ice-cream that did not disappoint. Our evening was made joyful by the attentive service, provided with heart and courtesy - thanks a bunch, Ozgun! Well worth the TRY!
