Most Indian restaurants here tend to cluster around Taksim and Şişli, serving up everything from creamy butter chicken to fiery vindaloo. One place I keep going back to is ‘Mumbai Masala’ on Cumhuriyet Avenue,it’s a bit tucked away but their tandoori naan is fantastic, seriously worth the trek.

Don’t expect a neon-lit fast food joint; these places feel more like hidden corners where the chefs clearly care about their spices. If you like your food on the spicy side, it’s worth asking for extra chili,most are happy to turn up the heat. And heads up, weekends get busy, so try going for a late lunch around 3 pm if you want a table without waiting.

Also, if you’re around Kadıköy, there’s a tiny spot called ‘Curry House’ that does a killer samosa that locals swear by. Combine that with a mango lassi and you’ve got a quick, tasty break from all the local fare. Honestly, Istanbul’s Indian food scene feels a little under the radar but definitely worth exploring if you crave a different kind of spice.
