I’m in Istanbul and decided to try balık ekmek for the first time, and I randomly came across this restaurant. What a lucky find! 🤩 The food was incredibly fresh and delicious, the view was amazing, and the service was fast and excellent. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was just perfect. Honestly, this place made my holiday mood even better! Such a great experience — I’ll definitely come back. Highly recommended! ❤️
The shop owner is friendly. The mackerel sandwich was reasonably priced and delicious, and I had a wonderful time at the foot of the Galata Bridge.
Everything was excellent! The food and atmosphere were great. Special thanks to our waiter, Korkmaz, for his excellent service. The owner was also very welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended!
We visited here last night for dinner after seeing their excellent reviews. There was a slightly aggressive salesman trying to get people into the restaurant which nearly put me off coming in, even though we had it as our planned spot for dinner. Firstly the view is magical and they did look after us with genuinely complimentary starters of bread and olive in oil, as well as a complimentary pistachio baklava and tea at the end. The mixed fish platter was expensive but given the location and that it was fish TL 2700 for 2 people did not feel too expensive. What I was not hugely impressed about was that the sales pitch of what was on the platter and what we got was no great. We both heard mention of calamari and a number of other type of fish and it was mainly small deep fried fish and fish heads (photo shown of my plate at the end of the meal), maybe you call them cheeks, I also was not hugely impressed by a floating fish eye. There is a chance that this is actually considered gourmet and I am just not refined enough to know it but it felt a little bit off. Having said that the platter was large, the special offers agreed to were upheld and the fish was pretty good, not something that I would especially go back for though and sadly one of the places on our trip that we ate at that both my husband and I felt we wished that we had skipped.
Amazing food , fresh fish , great service with polite staff We really enjoyed our meal here , it is highly recommended with the the Bosporus under the bridge view made the dinner with the friends just like a dream
