Nice take away option in the Beyoğlu neighborhood. We saw several of their food delivery mopeds in the area so decided to try their take out. The main dishes are divided into meat (chopped beef, meat patties, minced beef with eggplant) and vegetarian (eggplant, grilled cauliflower, etc.) and the other half of the case contains the mezze (sides). Ordering a main includes a scoop of rice and iceberg lettuce salad. The owner threw in a bag of bread slices too.
I'm writing this review a bit late, as we visited about four weeks ago, but I didn't want to miss the opportunity to leave a well-deserved review because this place is truly fantastic. We ate here several times during our stay in Istanbul since our hotel was just around the corner, and it quickly became one of our favorite places. What we especially appreciated was the variety of options for different dietary requirements. The owner is incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable about allergies, gluten-free meals, and vegan food. What stood out most was the care and attention that goes into the food. You can really taste that everything is prepared with love and dedication. It was a pleasure to enjoy authentic Turkish cuisine while knowing that so much effort and thought are put into every dish and into the restaurant as a whole. Thank you very much for your hospitality and the wonderful meals. We would happily return on our next visit to Istanbul!
Had a fantastic lunch at Galata Kitchen! It was so cool, with a vibe that was distinct, relaxing and welcoming, comfortable but also exciting and bright. Friendly staff, chill music, big windows and a great selection of food that includes all sorts of dietary needs, including vegetarian and vegan. I have celiac, and the host was extremely knowledgeable about gluten-free cooking …there were only four main courses that I could not eat! 😃 I chose the beef with asparagus, which was served with sides of rice and mashed potatoes, both of which were spiced in a very gentle but perfect manner to complement the beef. I also got a delicious and refreshing pomegranate and mung bean salad. I also got a gluten-free bun on the side, which was a nice touch. They also have outdoor seating, so if you'd just like a coffee or tea, that's also a great option on a nice day, especially after a meal. If you're looking for a delicious, healthy meal or snack, or just a break near the Galata Tower or the Cat Museum, I strongly recommend Galata Kitchen! 👍 👍
Great local spot in Istanbul with delicious traditional food. Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor, clearly made with high-quality local ingredients. The staff were very friendly, and the prices were fair for the quality. I was also really happy to find plenty of vegan options, including starters, mains, and even desserts. The location is very convenient too. Definitely a good choice if you’re vegan and want to enjoy authentic local cuisine.
If you are in Istanbul and you are looking for having traditional Turkish cuisine, this is the place worth to visit. Large choice of tasty food. Good prices and definitely you will not be hungry. Also great location and easy to get to.
