Reviews
We were looking for a vegetarian restaurant near our hotel and found Nevale Mutfak. It’s located on a quaint side street off of the busy roads. There are many vegetarian options. We had the lentil soup, hummus, and falafel bowl. All three were delicious. The falafel was different from what we usually get in the states (dry), the outside was crispy and the inside soft.
I had the felafel bowl, which included salad, hummus and pickles. It was so delicious and good value. Super-friendly, casual atmosphere and everything made on the spot. High-quality vegetarian food. Yum!
Outstanding versions of classic Turkish vegetable dishes served in a simple but attractive atmosphere. Every dish I've had here has been excellent but I will single out especially the purslane with sour apple, orange, and yogurt and the kassir, the epitome of this beet and bulgur combination with a perfect balance of pekmez, walnut, pickled cucumber, and spicing. One of the best purveyors of an essential theme in Turkish cuisine that is becoming increasingly difficult to find in Istanbul. Friendly service ready to help diners who are not familiar with the dishes on the menu and to create personalized combinations
