One of the must-do activities in Istanbul is going to Ortaköy and eating kumpir (baked potato) and waffles with a view of the Bosphorus. Although there are many kumpir and waffle restaurants here, I think Beltaş is the best. Since it's a municipality-owned establishment, the ingredients are top-quality and the prices are reasonable. The kumpir is generously topped. The waffles are a little different from those in Belgium; here they have more toppings and are sweeter. But they suit Middle Eastern tastes. The service staff are friendly and pleasant to talk to.
This restaurant has mesmerising view of Bosphourus and the bridge next to Ortokoy Mosque. Parking is paid and about 100 meters away or further. Boiled potato with stuffings is highligh of the menu. Good place for a family lunch.
