I always like to write honest reviews so people know what to expect. In my opinion, this hotel should be rated around 7.8–8/10, not 9/10. The standard room is a good size for two people, but it needs some renovation, especially the bathroom. Some of the bathroom fixtures need maintenance or replacement. It’s still fine for a short stay. Cleanliness could be better. The room was cleaned every day, but sometimes it wasn’t cleaned very well. Housekeeping also left the window open, so the smell and smoke from the nearby fish restaurants came into the room, which was unpleasant. I also wasn’t always sure if the bed sheets were changed. Breakfast was the weakest part of the stay. It’s served in the basement with no windows, so the atmosphere isn’t very nice. The food selection is limited compared to other 4-star hotels I’ve stayed at in Istanbul. I would give the breakfast 4/10. The staff are friendly and polite, but the service can be slow at times. There were also a few times when they couldn’t find our luggage right away. The best thing about this hotel is the location. It’s close to many tourist attractions, restaurants, Galataport, Galata Tower, Taksim, the tram, and the Karaköy ferry station. The location is excellent. On the positive side, I think the hotel offers good value for the money, especially considering its location. If you’re looking for an affordable hotel in this area, it’s a reasonable choice. Overall, it’s a decent hotel for a short stay, but I think it’s a little overrated. With better maintenance, improved cleanliness, and a better breakfast, it could easily deserve a higher rating.
We arrived at 8am after a long haul overnight flight and were welcomed immediately with a complimentary breakfast and complimentary early check in. These generous gestures made a huge and positive impact on our stay here. The hotel is in a central location near many restaurants, cafes and bars and it's close to the metro but also walking distance to many attractions. The staff are always friendly and polite. The breakfast is plentiful and only 10€ per person. We also were able to modify a future flexible booking we had made through the hotel easily and without any problem. Rooms are perfect for the price point. Highly recommend.
If you’re expecting a strictly standard 4-star hotel, it may not fully meet that benchmark. However, the hotel is very beautiful and exactly as shown in the pictures, with great value for money. The service, on the other hand, is truly 5-star. All the staff are amazing, attentive, friendly, and genuinely caring. They are always ready to help, whether it’s calling a taxi or recommending great places to visit nearby. The location in Karaköy is perfect, lively yet still quiet and safe. Right next to the hotel, you’ll find many delicious local spots, especially for balık dürüm and künefe. Transportation is also very convenient, with tram, bus, and ferry stations all within easy reach. I will definitely come back here on my next trip to Istanbul. Thank you!
Weingart Istanbul is a very nice hotel with a great overall experience. The location is excellent—close to Galata Tower and a tram station, making it very convenient for getting around the city. The staff were especially helpful, kind, and respectful throughout the stay. Rooms were clean, well-organized, and comfortable. The bathroom came fully equipped with toiletries, which was a nice touch. The only minor drawback is that the shower area is relatively small, but it is still perfectly manageable. Overall, a pleasant and comfortable stay with great hospitality and a very convenient location.
I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Weingart Hotel and couldn't be happier with my choice. The location is unbeatable—incredibly central, making it easy to explore the city on foot or via public transport. A special shout-out to the staff, who were exceptionally friendly and helpful; they truly make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The rooms also impressed me, as they are well-equipped, clean, and modern. Considering the high quality of the stay, the value for money is 100% spot on. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and stress-free trip to Istanbul. I will definitely be back!
