We love the Peninsula Istanbul! I posted 13 photos of our most recent Bosphorus suite. We enjoyed our first stay so much that we returned only four weeks later. We were greeted at the airport, helped throughout the airport and into a luxury van that brought us back to the familiar faces we all wanted to share more time with before the school year began. We landed at 5:30 am and arrived at the hotel at 7:00 am. I did not reserve a room for the previous night, but at 7:00 am, we were taken to our room, gifted with tea and chocolates and left to cat h up on sleep. Hotels generally prepare rooms for a 3:00-4:00 pm check in and require reservation for the previous night when guests arrive early in the morning, but not at The Peninsula Istanbul. The Peninsula Istanbul raises the bar on five star service, making it nearly impossible for any other area hotels to compete. We weren’t supposed to return to Istanbul, but the hotel staff made such an impression upon my children that they asked me to change plans because their, “favorite place in the world is the Peninsula Istanbul.” Eyes all aglow, my children ran around the property looking to say hello to all of the individuals they came to care for on our last visit. Seeing a young man in the hallway wearing the Peninsula’s emblematic white uniform, my son whispered, “he was one of my best friends from our last visit.” This is a magical place that you should not miss the chance to enjoy. It belongs on every bucket list.
True luxury City Stay. I want to highlight the truly exceptional breakfast (buffet + Lots of a la carte options included), really amazing. Only Place in the entire hotel that didnt Match our expectations was Gallada Dining (while the design and view is amazing, food was not..) We preferred the regular „Lobby“ Outdoor Restaurant for Dinner. Gym, indoor pool, Spa, Outdoor pool (can be a little crowded) have been fantastic. Rooms have been recently equipped with complete wireless tech, while still keeping the peninsula classic charme. Historic sights in walking distance (less than 30min), Central, vibrant location, while the property itself is queit and relaxing. One of the few City Hotels I Look forward to visit again. Our stay at The Peninsula Istanbul was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the hotel exceeded every expectation with its stunning property, impeccable service, and incredible attention to detail. A very special thank you to Bedum, who truly made our trip unforgettable. After a disappointing experience at our previous hotel, she went above and beyond to arrange an amazing room for us. Her kindness, professionalism, and genuine care completely turned our vacation around. Thanks to her, the rest of our stay was comfortable, relaxing, and memorable. The Peninsula is a world-class hotel, but it's people like Bedum who make it truly special. We can't thank her enough for making our trip so much better. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul.
recently stayed at The Peninsula Istanbul and had mixed feelings about the experience. The room was spacious, very clean, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The overall room quality was excellent, and housekeeping maintained it well throughout my stay. However, my room overlooked a building despite my reservation being for a city-view room. When I requested a change, I was offered another room, but the difference was minimal and did not significantly improve the view. The location of the hotel is outstanding and one of its strongest points. The spa was also excellent and among the highlights of my stay. On the other hand, I found the overall service to be fairly average for a luxury hotel. The breakfast quality was good, but service in the restaurant was often slow, and there were occasions when requests were forgotten. My main concern is value for money. While the hotel is undoubtedly luxurious, I did not find anything particularly unique that justified its premium pricing compared to other high-end five-star hotels. Most of the amenities and services offered can be found at many luxury properties. Overall, it is a good hotel with an excellent location and a very nice spa, but in my opinion it is somewhat overrated and does not fully justify its price point.
