Reviews
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is very well located, very close to the Galata Tower, yet in a rather quiet area. The rooms are charming, although some of them are a bit small. However, they are very clean and well equipped, with all the necessary facilities, including a fridge and a kettle for preparing tea and coffee. The breakfast was excellent, with a huge variety of choices every morning. We especially appreciated the dedication and friendliness of Mike, who warmly welcomed us with gifts and even gave us a lovely cake as a farewell present. If we return to Istanbul, we will definitely stay at the same hotel again.
We stayed at Meroddi Hotel for 8 nights in 3 rooms. The location is perfect—just 2 minutes from Galata Tower, with restaurants, shops, and exchange offices nearby. It’s about a 7-minute walk to Taksim Square, and the funicular, metro, and bus stations are all very close. The hotel is very clean, with daily housekeeping, including fresh linens, towels, and complimentary bottled water. The breakfast is rich and varied, and most importantly, the entire staff, working in shifts, are extremely professional and empathetic to guests’ needs—something you rarely find. Special thanks to Mehmet for all his efforts in making our stay so pleasant. If I return to Istanbul, I will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.
We didn't stay in the main hotel but in a three bedroom apartment to the rear of the building. It had three double rooms and a living space, one bathroom. About €200 for three nights so I would say it's good value. In the heart of the Galeta district (which can be quite expensive but has allot to offer) The reception team were very welcoming and they even left a gift on the door on the second day.
Recently stayed in this hotel for 4nights . The location was great, close to galata tower and 10 min walk to nearest tram and bus stations and 15 min walk to Taksim square. We are completely satisfied by all service received. Check in was seamless, rooms and bathroom were clean , breakfast was great and airport pickup and drop up was perfect. Special thanks and mention to Mike - he was so friendly and took great care of us throughout the stay. He gave us advice on areas to visit and what all things we need to be careful. Mike kindly gifted us a cake , his extra travel card and a wonderful galata tower souvenir. Would definitely stay at meroddi hotels in our next visit.
Really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Meroddi. The room was very clean and comfortable, the location is fantastic – right in the heart of things with easy access to all the main sights. Everything felt spotless throughout the hotel. The staff were absolutely lovely and went out of their way to help – a special shout-out to Mike, who was brilliant and made everything so much easier. Proper hospitality! The only minor disappointments were the breakfast area being quite small (so it got crowded at peak times with not much space for all the guests) and the breakfast selection itself feeling rather limited and not quite matching the variety shown in the photos. Also, while the front desk team were always friendly and keen to assist, a bit more English (or Spanish) would make communication smoother for international guests. Overall though, a very good stay and I’d happily return. Recommended!
