Easily one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. Rates are reasonable, and location is fantastic, with the Marmara coastline just a few minutes away by foot. The terrace on the top floor overlooking the Marmara is stunning as well. What really sets this establishment apart, however, is the hospitality and kindness shown by the staff. Throughout our stay, it very much felt like we were being hosted by family rather than staying at a hotel. Mansur was incredibly welcoming and did not hesitate to provide information and recommendations for the surrounding area. The breakfast is incredible as well. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone, regardless of travel purpose.

My stay at Marmara Guesthouse was as pleasant as İstanbul in the month of June. It is a mix between a transient room and a hotel with an Oriental vibe. Location is generally safe and is a stone throw from Ayasofya and Sultanahmet Mosque. Turkish hospitality from staff is felt as soon as you step inside the property. Any concerns prior check-in are easily addressed via email. Rooms are a bit cramped but comfortable nonetheless. Slight noise from fixing and other guests can be heard from time to time. Climbing to the rooms on the higher floors might be a bit challenging especially if carrying several luggage as the stairs are steep and narrow. Rooftop breakfast buffet offers a variety of mezze and light meals with a stunning view of the Bosporus Strait and Anatolian skyline. Coffee and tea are available after breakfast. The English language is conveniently used. Luggage can be stored after checkout. Cash (USD, EUR and TRY) and cards are accepted. All of these at a competitive rate. Would recommend it.

I loved this hotel. I found it very welcoming. My room was spotlessly clean. The staff were always very friendly and helpful. There is a terrace upstairs overlooking the Bosphorus, where you can have breakfast in the morning. Breakfast is varied. I would definitely recommend it and would return without hesitation. The location is also very good, just minutes away from the main attractions.
