Absolutely amazing experience! The hamam is crystal clean, and the staff is extremely kind and helpful. Ms. Mine, who was assigned to me, was absolutely the BEST! Forget all the hamams in the city, just come to Kilic Ali Paşa Hamam!

I’ll cut to the chase: this is my fourth hamam experience in Turkey (third in Istanbul), and this is the best one yet. The place is historic yet pristine, no tiling is falling off the domes, unlike some other really old hamams. The procedure felt not rushed at all (which was my issue with Cagaloglu hamam), there was plenty of time to lie on the marble table. I hate saunas that are barely warm or steamy, but this one was hot indeed. A very nice attendant named Ipek peeled what looked like another body’s worth of dead skin off me and then poured a ton of bubbles over me. I felt like a baby being taken care of again by a mother — it’s a good feeling and we don’t get that sort of care often as adults. If you’ve visited Cagaloglu, you remember that you get your own private room to undress, with a daybed if you want to lie down. Instead, at Kilic, you get a locker in a common room — but that didn’t seem like a problem to me. If you can afford it, absolutely go for a massage afterwards — it’s a great finish to a magnificent experience. They allow you to stay as long as you want in the common area and enjoy the gargling fountain in the middle as you relax on the sofas. I really value the fact that no part of the experience felt rushed, and you can take your time and really enjoy imagining you’re the emperor’s favorite wife being pampered.

Even if at first seems pricey and a touristic place. I loved it! It’s inside a beautiful building and you feel like a sultan! I had the regular bath and after I finished, I laid down in the resting area after the bath and ordered some food. I was so relaxed by the music, the experience and the beautiful architecture that I chilled there for 2hours.

This was my first Hamam experience. I really enjoyed the traditional aspects of this experience, Nazli was professional and kind, in spite of the language barrier she communicated very well and was exceptionally friendly. I enjoyed the experience, it felt very well run, the process was well explained to me and I never felt lost or confused. I can highly recommend this to anyone looking for a first Hamam experience. It was not rushed, the whole process took just over an hour, which appears to be longer than many reviews I have hears for a basic Hamam.

Kılıç Paşa Hamamı was a truly beautiful and memorable experience. The historical building itself has an incredible atmosphere — elegant, authentic, and very relaxing from the moment you enter. The masus were excellent: we had a full ritual including scrub, bath, massage, and plenty of time to relax on the warm marble stone, which made the whole visit feel both traditional and indulgent. Even though it was a bit crowded when we arrived around 2 pm, everything was very well organized and professionally managed, so we never felt rushed or uncomfortable. The complementary tea at the end was a lovely touch and allowed us to slow down and enjoy the calm atmosphere even more. I visited with my mom, and we both absolutely loved the experience. Highly recommended if you want to enjoy a historic Turkish bath with great service and a peaceful vibe.
