Beautiful, small hotel. The breakfast buffet selection was very limited, but the hotel is overall a great place to stay if you want to visit Istanbul for a few days.
The experience we had at Azzap Hotel was overall just okay. We booked a room for three nights as a couple. The room was not very spacious and the bathroom was quite small. There were no bathrobes or dental kits provided, and the coffee capsules were not refilled daily as mentioned. The room itself was clean, but the bedsheets and towels, which were supposed to be changed every second day, were never changed. The breakfast area was excellent and the view from the 7th floor was stunning. However, the breakfast options were limited, with very few choices for gluten-free and lactose-free products. Dinner was overpriced and the quality was average. Most of the food seemed to be reheated in a microwave. On the positive side, the man serving dinner was very professional and did his best to improve our experience. In conclusion, the overall experience and the food were just okay. If you don’t really care about hotel facilities, it can be a decent choice. The location was excellent, as it is only 5 minutes away from Galata Tower and 5 minutes from the seaside and the tram station.
We stayed for 5 nights in November, the hotel was great, the staff couldn’t do enough, especially Burcu who was on breakfast each morning. The view from our room was excellent, we had great views of the Bosporus and the city. The hotels location is nearby Galata bridge which is well placed for the various ferry services. I would definitely stay again when visiting Istanbul.
We really enjoyed our brief stay at Azzap Hotel Galata. The room was very comfortable, the location is perfect to explore the old and new party of the city by foot (if you're OK with 20.000 steps a day) but also close enough to get the tram or boat instead. From the first minute the staff was hospitably and welcoming. Special thanks to Erhan at the reception for suggesting many nice places to explore and who made the check-in process so smooth, delightful and pleasant. Another big thank you to Burcu from the restaurant who is such a warm and bright person which just added up perfectly to our experience and made breakfast even more enjoyable to start with.
