Get picked up from your hotel in Istanbul and drive to the meeting point. Meet your guide and begin your walking tour of Istanbul's highlights. The first stop is at the Hippodrome, where sporting events took place during the Byzantine period. As you explore, you'll have a chance to see the Egyptian Obelisk, the Column of Constantine, the Serpentine Column, and the German Fountain of Wilhelm II. Next, walk towards Blue Mosque, one of the most-visited mosques of the country. Admire the intricate blue tiles on the walls. The tour guide will teach about the history and the importance of this place. The walking tour continues with a visit to Hagia Sophia. This emblematic monument was constructed during the 4th century by the Constantine the Great and reconstructed again during the 6th century. Nowadays, it forms one of the most visited monuments in Turkey. After visiting these great monuments, you will continue walking to the Grand Bazaar. Exercise your bargaining skills as you explore this labyrinthine space consisting of 4000 shops. Find clothes, handicrafts, street food and many other interesting souvenirs. After your lunch break, the tour continues to the Sultans’ Tombs monument. See five tombs from the 16th century, admire the ceramic panels, and see the various decorations on the sarcophagi.
