We visited during happy hour, so it wasn’t crowded. It’s a large sports pub in the heart of İstiklal Street, with plenty of sports-themed décor and big TVs throughout. We had a couple of beers and the mixed turşu, one of my favorite Turkish mezes—it was delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a lively spot to enjoy with drinks and snacks.
Celtic Irish Pub is one of the best places I have found in Istanbul for football fans and anyone looking for a lively atmosphere. Located within walking distance of Şişhane Metro Station and in the heart of the busy and tourist-filled Taksim area, it is easy to reach and perfectly situated for both visitors and locals. What makes this place stand out is the environment. The atmosphere is energetic without being overwhelming, making it an ideal spot to enjoy a drink, meet friends, or spend an evening watching sports. The staff are professional, attentive, and friendly, creating a welcoming experience from the moment you walk in. For football lovers, this pub is a fantastic choice. One of its biggest advantages is the number of televisions throughout the venue. Different screens show different channels, allowing guests to follow multiple matches from around the world at the same time. Whether there are Premier League games, Champions League fixtures, World Cup matches, or other international competitions taking place simultaneously, there is a good chance you will be able to watch all of them without missing the action. The service is excellent and the team does a great job managing a busy crowd while maintaining a friendly and efficient atmosphere. The venue is clean, well organized, and designed to make guests feel comfortable for hours. Finding a place that combines a great location, excellent service, a vibrant atmosphere, and a true football viewing experience is not easy. Celtic Irish Pub manages to deliver all of these. If you are in the Taksim area and looking for a place to watch football, enjoy good service, and experience a lively international crowd, this pub is definitely worth visiting.
These guys have truly figured it out. 100% respect for the customer, high-quality food and drinks, and an overall amazing atmosphere. Their draft beers are always fresh and excellent. We also tried the whiskey, and both the waitress and waiter were incredibly friendly, genuinely engaging in conversation with us throughout the evening. Since the whiskey prices on the menu hadn’t been updated yet, they even charged us the old price, which was a really thoughtful gesture. They accidentally brought us mixed nuts instead of the salted peanuts we ordered, but when we mentioned it, they kindly said, “That’s on us — we’ll also bring you the salted peanuts.” Small details like this really show how much they care about customer satisfaction. A special thanks to Ms. Eylül for her warm smile and hospitality, and to Mr. Enes for being so helpful throughout our visit. Highly recommended.
Great location (near the Sishane metro station and on Istiklal St.), good service and extremely well themed! The variety of drinks are wide, the food is good (I'd recommend the Jack Daniels burger) and it's especially nice to sit outside in summer. That said, it is expensive (kind of expected from the area) and the sports bar part (actually showing live games/races) isn't as good as others in the area.
I was a guest of the place today. The first thing I liked here was that there is a happy hour, but the time limit for it is short, it is valid until 18:00. The thing I didn't like the most was that a small bowl of salted peanuts was sold for money, while in other places it is provided for free. The prices are expensive compared to other pubs, you should take this into account ) The service is fast and the staff is attentive.
