World House Boutique Hotel Galata
Istanbul
Reseñas
This is a very special property right next to the Galata Tower, perfectly positioned to experience the wonders of Istanbul. This hotel has only 15 rooms and it feels like staying with a very well connected hospitable family - they know all the restaurants (Murat the manager's wife is a very well versed on the very best culinary highlights of the city - and nothing is to much trouble). The small cafe that sits over the street has superb La Marzocco and authentic Turkish coffee and is the perfect place to watch the world go by. It's rare that a hotel has a genuinely cool cafe - staff here are kind, cultured, interest and very Istanbul cool - the San Sebastian cheesecake, pastries and morning stuffed simit (Turkish bagel but better!). Rooms are beautifully appointed, excellent linens, fluffy towels and excellent daily housekeeping services too. Tea, nuts and fruits welcome you and at night the hotel is sublimely quiet. As anywhere in the city, you will hear the muezzin call to prayer but this is a magical later of life in Istanbul. The hotel also organised a brilliant guide for us to explore the main UNESCO sights. The perks of such a great location is that we were just around the corner from the divine Museum of Innocence, galleries, second hand stores and wonderful cafes and restaurants - and we could not get lost as the tower can be seen from anywhere in the city. The hotel is terrific but what makes World Galata is the team, the depth of service, understanding of true hospitality and going the extra mile. We saw all the fancy expensive hotels (and even had a drink at the Four Seasons) and it has nothing on the feeling of staying in the wonderful area of Galata.
This is a rare find if you are a boutique hotel enthusiast. Our room was fresh, clean, very quiet and a great bed. This was much appreciated after a long international flight. The hotel is located in a great area with many shops and restaurants. They also care for three specific cats. We fell in love with one in particular. The staff could not do enough for us. We were greeted by Atacan. He took our bags up to our room and told us about the amenities. Free fruit, coffee, tea, sodas, water and snacks. We were up very early and Erkan was on the night shift- we was cheerful and happy to tell us what time in the city. Lastly Ismail, he was just as helpful as the other two and made sure our transfer car was on the way, brought us a complimentary parting drink from the coffee shop which we s part of the hotel. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ all the way around for this group!
I highly recommend this wonderful little place. We stayed here for two nights. From the beginning we walked through the door we were greeted with smiles and help with our luggage. We just came from another hotel in Trabzon feeling a little underwhelmed from bad service and so this was the antidote! Our friendly assistant Mr Murat was like a long lost good friend. He welcomed us with great Turkish coffee and tea, kindly upgrade us to the magnificent suite on the top floor! The stairs didn’t matter! Our room was so beautifully presented clean and cosy! The decor is so tastefully elegant and was like our home. The amenities are of high quality, tea and coffee are fresh and served in French press, like how we have it home. The beds are of superb quality and comfy we slept like logs! The views from our room were spectacular and mesmerizing with direct view of the Galata and the Bospherous Sea. The whole team at this hotel treated us like family and truly delivered a 5 Star service throughout our short stay. We have been to many 5 star hotels and this one is certainly in that list! We had fresh fruit on a platter and free supply of drinks from the mini bar. Something you don’t get from some top rated hotels! They have their own coffee and gift shop. Most importantly the team here know how to host their guests, a credit to their establishment and management 👍 We truly appreciated all the wonderful people who worked here, Mr Murat, (who assisted us during our check-in) Mr Ismail (who assisted us during our check out) Mr Eren and the team at the coffee shop who served us wonderful tea, coffee and fresh delicious cakes. Even their hotel cat was so charming and friendly - no surprise there 😻 Their location is top, with Istikal street nearby and the sea for the ferry crossing a 20 minute walk. You can touch the Galata Tower from your balcony! We will definitely return here and recommend to all our family and friends! The only negative here was the leaving part! We sincerely thank you all for your wonderful hard work ❣️
I stayed for 4 nights and it was a wonderful hotel. The staff are really friendly and the room was comfortable and clean with great amenities. Definitely recommended. The cafe is really nice, great coffee and guests receive 50% discount on food and drink. Its in a very central part of Galata, great location for exploring Beyoglu and further afield. You can turn right from the entrance and head up towards Istikal ave, towards Taksim, or turn left and head down towards the river and hop on a ferry or tram. Its a perfect location for exploring Istanbul, especially if its your first time in the city. Its a busy street, especially at night, so keep that in mind, but no trouble reaching the hotel by taxi, and public transport is close by.
We had a wonderful stay at World House Boutique Hotel Galata! The staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and genuinely friendly, which made us feel right at home. The location couldn’t be better – we could even see the Galata Tower from our window. The café downstairs is fantastic, perfect for starting the day, and being right on a bustling shopping street made the atmosphere so much fun. Highly recommended!
