Description
Do all your Istanbul shopping with a private local guide who grew up working in the Grand and Spice Bazaars. You'll know what's worth buying, what it should cost, and where to find it, with someone who has done this their whole life.
We meet next to the Grand Bazaar at a central, easy to find spot for a quick introduction to the day. From there we start at the Grand Bazaar itself, where your guide explains the story behind the goods and helps you plan a shopping route so you're not going in blind. Shop owners give you their presentations, and your guide steers you toward the items you're after and away from the ones you're not, so you can buy with confidence.
Next we walk down through the Eminönü market, where locals shop for everyday needs. It's a good look at how the city actually buys and sells, away from the tourist stalls.
We finish at the Spice Bazaar, with its spices, teas, sweets and dried fruit, and plenty of free tastings along the way. From there you're in the center of the city with easy onward transport, whether by tram, ferry or on foot.
