Description
Early in the morning, our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Istanbul and transfer you to Istanbul Airport for your flight to Kayseri.
Upon arrival in Kayseri, our driver will meet you and transfer you to the meeting point where you will meet your professional guide who will show you the highlights of North Cappadocia.
The tour starts at 09:30 AM. The first stop of the tour is the Zelve Open Air Museum. Zelve was once an important monastic settlement and one of the earliest inhabited valleys in Cappadocia. The site consists of a large valley with cave dwellings, tunnels, and churches carved into the soft volcanic rock. Your guide will explain the history of early Christian communities and how people lived in these cave houses for centuries.
After visiting Zelve, we will drive to Love Valley Panorama Point to see some interestingly shaped fairy chimneys and enjoy panoramic views of the famous Red and Rose Valleys.
Next, we continue to Pasabag (Monks Valley), where you will see some of the best-preserved fairy chimneys in the Cappadocia region. This area is famous for its unique multi-headed fairy chimneys. Your guide will explain how these fascinating rock formations were created over thousands of years.
After the visit, we will drive to Avanos for lunch at a small boutique restaurant.
Following lunch, we will watch a traditional pottery demonstration in Avanos. Pottery making here dates back nearly 4000 years to the Hittite civilization, and artisans still use the traditional kick-wheel technique.
Our next stop will be Devrent Valley, also known as Imagination Valley, where the natural rock formations resemble animals and various shapes. One of the most famous formations here looks like a camel.
Our daily tour will finish around 4:30 PM, and you will be transferred to Kayseri Airport for your flight back to Istanbul. Upon arrival in Istanbul, our driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you back to your hotel in the evening.
