Breakfast in rooftop restaurant with stunning view is an absolute highlight for this hotel. The room is clean, bed is very comfortable. Two sets of pillows are enough choices for people very picky like me. Very close to the galata tower and the vivid street. But since it is behind the busy street, it is very quiet. We live in 4th floor. There is only one morning I hear the dustbin emptying. Other days are very nice. The only thing I didnt feel happy is I booked the deluxe room which was written on trip.com as 18m2. But the room we got is very small I guess only 12 m2 it should be the standard class. Pic2 is the neighbour room which I see is the 18m2 room shown in trip.com booking info. I talked to the stuff but they insist they didnt give the wrong room. So if ypu dont want waste your money, or try your luck, can directly book the standard one no need pay the extra money and feel bad afterwards.
Great location and fantastic staff – a cozy base in Galata. The hotel's strongest point is absolutely the location (5/5) – just a 1-minute walk from the Galata Tower. Also, the street just above is packed with great cafes and restaurants. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful throughout our stay. The room was small, but cozy and functional for us, and we recieved a gift and a cake as they took note of our anniversary which we highly appreciated. And the staff of the hotel were always welcomong and kind special thanx to ahmet and hasan and others i forgot to take note of the names. Breakfast was a buffet style served on the roof terrace. Starting the day up there with a view of the Bosphorus was a highlight. Overall, a strong 4 out of 5.
Stayed at Merrodi La Porta had an amazing stay with them. Their staff were incredibly attentive. We had breakfast every morning during our stay with them. I’ve traveled A LOT and this has to be one of the best breakfast I’ve had. From the presentation to the how it actually taste. They sent out a survey asking if the occasion for our stay and we were on holiday for our anniversary/ honeymoon. They treated us with a delicious cake and wine. My husband and I could not believe how sweet and thoughtful the gesture was. They also organized our pick up from the airport to the hotel as well as pick up to airport drop off which was so helpful and stress free. Hands down one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The location was also perfect. It was close to everything. From public transportation to different dining options and extremely close to the famous Galata Tower. 10/10 recommend!
We stayed at Meroddi La Porta from January 3rd to January 7th and had a truly excellent experience. The hotel is located in a very convenient area, close to major attractions and with easy access to public transportation, yet still quiet and comfortable. Our room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with a nice balance between modern comfort and traditional character. Housekeeping was consistent and attentive throughout our stay. The staff deserves special mention — everyone was extremely polite, professional, and always willing to help with recommendations or any request. Breakfast was fresh and satisfying, offering a good variety to start the day. Overall, the atmosphere of the hotel felt warm and welcoming, making us feel at home from the first moment. We were very satisfied with our stay and would definitely choose Meroddi La Porta again on our next visit to Istanbul. Highly recommended for both leisure and business travelers.
We stayed at Meroddi for almost one week and it was great. The location was incredible, the views from the rooftop were stunning and the staff was really kind. I highly recommend this hotel and we would definitely stay here again. The breakfast was also very good! The only thing I would like to suggest is improving the WiFi. Maybe it was due to the location of my room but I ended up using my own mobile data. Besides that's everything was really great. Thanks again Meroddi staff for making this stay so pleasant.
