Turkish Bath w/ Kese Ritual Your journey begins with a 10-minute steam and sweat session beside the marble water basin (kurna), helping to open pores and ease the body into stillness. This is followed by a 30-minute hammam treatment, including a full-body exfoliation using your own kese mitt and a luxurious aromatic foam massage on the heated Göbektaşı. The final step is a calming scalp cleanse using handmade, olive oil soap sourced from the groves of Cunda and Ayvalık. Following your treatment, you are guided to the serene Camekanlık lounge to rest, hydrate, and fully absorb the ritual. Here, herbal tea, dried fruits, detox water, and cold towels are offered. Set inside a restored 1831 hammam in Çukurcuma, Valide Sultan unfolds in refined stages to purify the skin, stimulate circulation, and calm the senses. Begin with 10 minutes of gentle warming beside the marble basin (kurna) in the softly lit halvet, where heat and steam open the pores and slow the breath. Continue with 40 minutes of traditional hammam care: a full-body kese exfoliation with your personal mitt, focused hand & foot peeling to relieve fatigue and restore softness, and an aromatic foam massage on the heated Göbektaşı, whose radiant warmth harmonizes body and breath. • Mixed-gender hammam: Men and women share the same bathing hall and receive care together in a respectful, serene setting; private dressing rooms are provided for each guest. There is no need to bring anything, but guests may bring their own bikini or swim shorts if preferred. Otherwise, single-use bikini sets or shorts are provided on-site Towels, slippers, kese mitts, natural olive oil soap, and haircare products are all included.
