Description

Hattusas Tour departs from Cappadocia every Tuesday and every Friday throughout the year. Meet the tour guide and driver at the hotel at 08:30. After driving nearly 210 km to Hattusas we arrive in Hattusas which was the capital of the Hittite Kingdom for a long time. Before visiting the main capital the Hattusas, we proceed to Yazilikaya to see the open air sanctuary as the sun light comes on the bas-reliefs direct in the morning. We will get our lunch in a local restaurant. After the lunch we visit the archaeological site of Hattusas, former capital of the Hittite Empire which is notable for its urban organization, the types of construction that have been preserved (temples, royal residences, fortifications), the rich ornamentation of the Lions' Gate and the Royal Gate and Tunnel. After a full day guided tour of Hittite Heritage in Turkey we drive back to Cappadocia and drop you off at your hotel.
